Apart from technical knowledge and skills, to be successful as professionals, students
should have excellent soft skills, leadership qualities and team spirit. They should have
entrepreneurial capabilities and societal commitment. In order to nurture these
qualities, KTU has introduced activity points to be earned by the students during their
academic stay at the University covering extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. All
students have to earn a minimum of 100 activity points from various activity segments
listed to qualify for the B.Tech degree. Two credits are given for this on a pass/ fail basis
and is mandatory for getting the B.Tech Degree. As no grade is given for these two
credits, they are not included in the CGPA calculation. For lateral entry students joining
from the third semester, the activity point requirement is75. Points earned by the
student will be indicated in the consolidated academic statement. Colleges shall
consolidate the activity points earned by students on a semester basis and enter the
consolidated points on an academic year basis in the KTU portal. In case of NSS and NCC,
points can be entered after the completion of two-year Programme. The portal for this
will only be open for a specific time period. All documental proof for awarding the
activity points should be obtained and kept with the college authorities to be verified by
the Academic Auditor.

5 Ways For Earning Activity Points 1. NCC / NSS (60 Points) Being a part of NSS, students can earn a maximum of 60 points for a minimum duration of 2 years 2. MOOC ( Upto 50 points) Massive Open Online Courses, students can join various online courses conducted by Various IIT'S after completion of the course you will get a certificate which can give you about 50 activity points. Various online courses are- - NPTEL - IIT BombayX(Free online course by IIT Bombay)
3. Workshops (Upto 40) Attending workshops, seminars and paper presentation at IIT / NIT, Maximum 40 can be earned
4. Internship ( 20 Points) Doing Internship in any Industry for 5 Days can give you a maximum of 20 points ,it's the maximum points under internship doing more internships wont help in earning more points.
5. Industrial visit (Upto 10 Points)
Industrial visit is a part of professional courses, during which students visit companies and get insight of on the internal working environment of the company, Which can give you a maximum of 10 points.

It is hereby notified that the students who have secured more than 15% mark variation on revaluation of the examinations listed below are eligible to get refund of their revaluation fee of Rs.600/- per paper (Rupees Six Hundred Only). The list of eligible students are published below.They are directed to collect the same from the Principal of the college concerned after 23/11/2017. Candidates who desire to apply for Re-Valuation of answer papers of B.Tech S1,S2 and B.Tech S3,S4 Supplementary Examinations 2016-17 are directed to register for the same in the KTU portal from 09.11.2017 to 13.11.2017 by paying the requisite fee in the College office concerned. Submission of data from the college to the University is 15.11.2017, Wednesday. Fee for Re-Valuation of answer paper - Rs 600/- per paper.
